Brian McLean has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Brian started their career as a Design Engineer at Racal Mobilcal in 1989. Brian then worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Future Electronics from 1993 to 1996. Brian went on to become the Vice President of North America Sales at Wolfson Microelectronics, where they successfully grew revenue from zero to over $90 million annually by 2007. Brian also established offices in San Diego, CA and Cambridge, MA, and managed one major OEM. Brian then joined Maxim Integrated Products as a Senior Director, focusing on long-term business development for Audio/Power Management solutions, particularly for Tier One cellular phone companies. Brian significantly expanded the serviceable market through new products. Brian later served as the Director of North America Sales at RedMere, where they drove business growth from 1,000 units per month to approximately 1 million units per month by providing unique power scavenging equalizer ICs to HDMI and Display Port cables. Brian joined Bosch as the North America Sales Director, managing the representative network and direct accounts for Akustica, a division of Bosch. Brian developed relationships with major OEMs such as Apple, Microsoft, Blackberry, Google, and Bose, and collaborated with partner companies on noise-canceling solutions and future product concepts. Brian also founded Red Shift Sales, a consulting business specializing in developing the North America market for Integrated Circuit and Intellectual Property technologies. Brian's current work experience includes being the Regional Sales Manager at Allegro MicroSystems, where they focus on key accounts in the western region, primarily in the automotive electronics sector. Brian sells products such as motor drivers, current sensors, and magnetic position sensing devices. Brian's future work experience includes a role as an Account at Crocus Technology, starting in 2023.

Brian McLean attended the University of Glasgow from 1985 to 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Their field of study was Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
