Michael Banther began their work experience in 1988 as a Computer Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where they worked until 2011. Michael then briefly worked as a Principle Engineer at Arkivum in 2011. In 2014, Banther became a Volunteer Teaching Assistant at City of Bath College. Michael then joined Dyson in 2015 as a Senior Firmware Engineer, and later held roles as an Associate Principal Engineer and Senior Sensor Engineer. Since 2018, Banther has been working at XMOS, starting as an Application Engineer and progressing to Senior Software Engineer and Interim Software Manager. Michael currently holds the position of Director, Software Applications at XMOS.
Michael Banther earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University, where they studied from 1979 to 1988. Michael later pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and completed it from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Michael Banther obtained a certification in Foundation in Software Testing from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in February 2013.
