Peter Denton

Peter Denton is currently the Head of Growth at XMTP. Prior to their current position, Denton served as the Marketing Lead at Pioneer Square Labs from February 2017 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing day-to-day market validation, growth strategies, and market research for portfolio companies within Pioneer Square Labs. This included defining core value propositions, rigorously testing market fit through research and ad tests and ultimately defining the cost to acquire new customers through specific channels.

From June 2013 to February 2017, Denton was the VP of Marketing at Steller. During their time with the company, they helped build the most powerful visual storytelling platform in mobile. With Steller, users can create beautiful, engaging content that can be shared anywhere, including natively on Facebook as an Instant Article or embedded in full fidelity on websites or blogs.

Denton began their career in 2012 as a Product Manager at Cheezburger, Inc. where they worked until 2013.

Peter Denton's educational career includes a field in English and Journalism from the University of Washington. Peter also has certification from the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master.

Their manager is Matt Galligan, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Saul Carlin - Director, Product Management, Shane Mac - Co-Founder & President.
