Matthew Topelius

Matthew Topelius is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in operations and project management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering Operations at Xometry since February 2017, Matthew has progressed through various roles including Senior Manager and Manager of Engineering Operations. Prior experience includes leading engineering projects at HorseSHU–UAS at the University of Maryland, where Matthew secured $115K in funding through successful grant proposals and extensive design work with autonomous vehicles. An earlier internship at TouchTek Labs LLC involved the development of a glucose biosensor, addressing critical technical challenges. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a BA in Cognitive Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
