Nelleke Scheijen's work experience begins in 2013 as a Competitive Rowing Athlete at D.S.R. Proteus-Eretes. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Chief Commissioner of Public Relations at W.I.S.V. 'Christiaan Huygens'\u200b, where they were responsible for external affairs. Nelleke also organized a three-week study visit to Brazil as the Commissioner of Internal Affairs. In 2016, Nelleke was a Commissioner of IT Affairs at De Delftse Bedrijvendagen, the largest technical career fair in the Benelux. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Intern at Deltares. Nelleke then became a Student Assistant at Technische Universiteit Delft from 2018 to 2020. Nelleke joined the Nederlands Forensisch Instituut as a Graduate Research Intern from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, Nelleke started working as a Data Scientist at Aegon Nederland, where they worked on various projects related to data science. Currently, they are working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia, where they are gaining experience in areas such as cloud services, machine learning, and data analytics.

Nelleke Scheijen pursued their education in a chronological manner. Nelleke attended SG Groenewald from 2007 to 2013, where they focused on NG & NT subjects. Following that, they enrolled at Delft University of Technology for their Bachelor's degree, specializing in Applied Mathematics & Applied Physics from 2013 to 2018. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained their Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university, studying from 2018 to 2020.
