Corey Rainey

Corey Rainey has a diverse work experience in video production and broadcasting. Corey currently serves as the Director of Video Production at Xooker since October 2022. Prior to this, Corey worked as a Videographer/Editor at Xooker from August 2021 to October 2022, where they filmed and edited over 70 commercials across 5 states. Corey founded HypedUp.TV in December 2018. Corey also worked as a Public Information Officer at KYEM/CSEPP from April 2021 to August 2021.

In terms of broadcasting, Corey has worked as a Freelance Camera Operator at PrepSpin Productions from December 2017 to November 2019, covering various sporting events and tournaments. Corey also gained experience as a WLEX-TV Floor Director / Production Tech at WLEX-TV from July 2015 to February 2019, assisting the directors with broadcast and video features. Corey worked as a Videographer at First String Media from November 2017 to December 2018, capturing athletic events and producing field coverage for state championships.

In their early career, Corey interned as a Production Tech at WLEX-TV from January 2015 to April 2015, where they gained skills in camera operation, studio floor assistance, and video cutting and editing. Corey also worked as a Production Tech at WTVQ from June 2015 to July 2015, assisting with media management, archiving, and graphics retrieval. Corey briefly had a role at ESPN as Ground Level Communication in July 2016, and they interned as a Production Tech at WLEX-TV from June 2015 to July 2015.

In 2020, Corey Rainey attended Bluegrass Community and Technical College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree.

From 2012 to 2014, Corey Rainey also attended Bluegrass Community and Technical College, focusing on Telecommunications, Journalism, and Broadcasting.

Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, Corey Rainey attended Kentucky State University, where they studied Physical Education and served as an Undergraduate Assistant Football Coach/Sports Manager.
