Chenyi Chen

Chenyi Chen is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning and robotics, currently serving as an ML Engineer and Team Supporter at XPENG, where the focus is on building intelligent humanoid robots. Previously, Chen held several roles at Cruise, including Staff ML/Robotics Tech Lead Manager and Applied Research Scientist, contributing to advancements in machine learning and robotics. Chen's early career included a significant role as a Deep Learning Engineer for Autonomous Driving at NVIDIA, where research on deep learning and computer vision algorithms for self-driving cars was conducted. Chen began the professional journey with a research internship at MERL, focusing on small object detection through deep learning methods. Chen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Operations Research & Financial Engineering from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Automation from Tsinghua University.
