Defang Chen is an experienced engineer specializing in telecommunications and autonomous driving technology. Currently serving as an Autonomous Driving SOC FW Engineer at XPENG since August 2021, Defang focuses on firmware design and development for autonomous driving platforms, particularly in Lidar/Radar sensor integration. Prior to this, Defang spent over eleven years at Qualcomm in various roles, including Senior Staff Engineer and Manager, leading teams in 5G physical layer development and TD-SCDMA RRC/L1 development.
