Ted Laverty

Ted Laverty is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology and business development, currently serving as Vice President of Global Standards and Vice President of Strategy and Standards at Xperi Corporation since March 2019. Laverty represents Xperi’s DTS technologies in various global standards groups and manages intellectual property for UK-held patents, while also contributing to the company's strategic initiatives such as Connected Radio and IMAX programs. Previously, Laverty held senior director roles at Xperi and DLL NI (DTS), as well as serving as Director of Worldwide Licensing for Broadcast at DTS, with a focus on IPTV and broadcast markets. Earlier in his career, Laverty co-founded Chimera, contributing as a guitarist, songwriter, engineer, and producer. Educational qualifications include a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen's University Belfast.
