Jonathan Feiber is a Special Advisor at XSeed Capital. He provides strategic insight and guidance to entrepreneurs and companies with a focus on complex technology and science. He is also a consulting Associate Professor at the Hasso Platner Institute of Design (d.school) at Stanford University, and a General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV).
Jon joined MDV in 1991 and has been investing in early-stage companies for the majority of his career. He has substantial management, software engineering and product development experience as well as significant success in the venture capital industry investing in and serving on the boards of pioneering technology companies such as Brocade, Epigram, Gordon Murray Design, Ipsilon Networks, ONI Systems, Panasas, Proofpoint, Sensity Systems, and Zip2.
Jon began his career working on UNIX as a software programmer for mainframe maker Amdahl Corporation. He then joined Sun Microsystems in 1983, holding various positions overseeing product development and strategy in the areas of software development, software engineering technologies and networking. At the end of his tenure at Sun, Jon was Vice President of Networking.
Jon holds a distributed studies degree in Computer Science, Astrophysics, and Math from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
