Fred Barbee is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in customer engineering and product development within the networking and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as the Director of Customer Engineering at Xsight Labs since July 2025, Fred is building a team to drive business expansion. Previously, Fred held various leadership roles at Intel Corporation from March 2012 to September 2024, including Sr. Director of Ethernet Customer Engineering, overseeing customer support for Intel's IPU products, and Director of Platform Applications Engineering, managing support for FNIC products. Fred's career also includes roles in manufacturing operations, engineering management, and test engineering at companies such as Network Elements and Lattice Semiconductor. Fred holds a degree from Oregon State University, obtained in 1991.
