Tom Clay

Tom Clay has a long and varied career in business and the military. Tom began their professional career in 1993 as a Long Range Surveillance Platoon Leader in the US Army. In 1998, they became the CEO of Z Corporation, where they led the team that grew the company from under $1 million in revenue to over $47 million. In 2005, they successfully sold the company to the Contex Group. In 2008, they became CEO of Xtalic Corporation, a company backed by Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners. In 2016, they joined Harvard Business School as an Executive Fellow and Entrepreneur In Residence.

Tom Clay received their BA in Mathematics from Princeton University in 1991. Tom then attended the US Army Ranger School in 1991, where they earned their Ranger certification. Tom went on to Harvard Business School in 1995, where they received their MBA in 1997. Tom also attended Glenbrook North High School prior to their college education.
