Michael A. Assid

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Assid sets strategy for all domestic and international sales, business development and marketing activities within the organization. He is a 31-year military space veteran with extensive operational experience in Space Electronic Warfare, Offensive and Defensive Space Control, Satellite Communications, Space Situational Awareness, Command and Control, Test and Evaluation and Adversary Space Operations. Prior to joining the XTAR team, Mr. Assid served in numerous leadership roles at Headquarters, Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) and Headquarters, U.S. Space Force, where he was the operations lead for the transfer of DISA’s commercial SATCOM contracting function to AFSPC, the Air Force lead for the Fighting SATCOM Working Group, and Deputy Director for the Combined Force Space Component’s SATCOM Integrated Operations Division. He continues to serve as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Mr. Assid holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, and Master of Information Systems Management from Lesley University.
