Tony Salerno

Vice President, Data Management and Managed Services at Xtivia

Tony Salerno has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Tony began their career in 1985 as a Systems Consultant at Rutgers University and a Programmer at Colgate-Palmolive. In 1986, they joined EPS Corporation as a Software Engineer for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command SATCOM Signal Analyzer. In 1988, they moved to AT&T Bell Laboratories as a Senior Technical Associate, where they worked on the Automated System for Performance Evaluation of Networks (ASPEN) system, the TransVu II system, and the CommView medical imaging system. In 1994, they joined Lucent Technologies as a Member Technical Staff I for the SNC-2000 EMS Dev. Group. In 1999, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Summit Data Group, where they were a webmaster/manager, system administrator, and database administrator for an Informix-based subscription web service. In 2000, they joined XTIVIA, Inc. as Vice President of Data Management and Managed Services, where they were responsible for management, sales support, and sales of Virtual-DBA and XTIVIA Database Professional Services. Tony also supervised the technical staff responsible for the development and delivery of the service.

Tony Salerno obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Cook College - Rutgers University and their High School degree from Monmouth Regional High School, where they studied Driver Ed, Phy Ed, and Typing. Tony also holds an IBM Certified System Administrator -- System Administration for IBM Informix Dynamic Server V11 certification from IBM.
