Hanpeng Liu

Hanpeng Liu is an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in regulatory oversight and strategy across the financial services sector in Asia-Pacific and Europe, currently serving as the APAC & EMEA Compliance Director at XTransfer since December 2024. Previous roles include leading China expansion and compliance teams at Wise, where responsibilities encompassed license applications, regulatory compliance, and the establishment of a scalable compliance framework across multiple markets. Hanpeng Liu began the career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, progressing through various roles in compliance and risk management, and has also advised financial institutions on AML/CFT and regulatory matters at Promontory Financial Group. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Financial Mathematics from the National University of Singapore.
