Chris Dawson

Chris Dawson has a diverse background in both education and professional experience in the fields of physics and engineering. Dawson obtained a Master of Physics in Photonics from the University of Southampton and later completed a PhD in Applied Physics at Swansea University, focusing on optomechanics. Professional experience includes serving as a Watersports Instructor at Whitecap Leisure, where skills in teamwork and problem-solving were developed while teaching kayaking, canoeing, and dinghy sailing. Dawson also worked as an Optical Engineer at Orphidia, Inc., managing research on optical subsystems for point-of-care diagnostics, and held positions as a Physicist and Senior Physicist at Xylem. Additionally, Dawson served as a Senior Engineer at MBDA, showcasing a strong engineering background combined with advanced research capabilities.
