Andrew Thomas is a seasoned media technology professional with extensive experience in technical production and consultancy. They served as a Technical Producer at Tv2Go from 1989 to 1998, overseeing a variety of projects, including a 26-camera live car race. From 1998 to 2013, Andrew held the position of Director of Technical Operations at Rogers Sportsnet, where they launched the network and managed over 100 staff. They then progressed to become the Director of On Air Operations and Innovation at Rogers Media from 2013 to 2016, leading significant projects like the launch of the NHL studios. Currently, as a Principal Consultant at Xytech Systems since 2021, Andrew creates design documents for software implementation and trains users on its functionalities.
