Tom Stratton

Tom Stratton has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in the technology, media, and consulting industries.

From 2020 until present, Tom worked as the Director of Product Management at Y Meadows Inc., leading the product strategy and offerings for a software startup. Tom managed customer service automation platforms utilizing AI and RPA solutions, interfaced with clients to gather requirements, and created product roadmaps.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2020, Tom held multiple roles at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies. As a Senior Product Manager, they served as the Product Owner for a new media asset management application, managed teams, and coordinated with stakeholders to establish product objectives. Tom also provided strategic direction and support for digital asset and metadata management across the studio's business units.

Before their time at Warner Bros., Tom was the IT Director at BiteSize Networks from 2013 to 2015, where they architectured IT solutions for live television content production pipelines. At Masters FX from 2012 to 2013, they served as the VFX Pipeline Data Manager and Software Developer, designing systems for digital VFX render pipelines.

Tom also has experience running their own consulting business, Tom Stratton Media and Entertainment Consulting, from 2008 to 2013. Tom provided project management, business process improvement, and software consulting services to clients. Tom also took on various other roles throughout their career, such as Project Manager at Epitaph Records, Data Manager and Shotgun Database Administrator at the Stereo Consulting Group, and Originator and CoProducer of the Collision Conference and PhotoCine Expo.

Earlier in their career, Tom held positions such as Director of Digital Services at The Icon and General Manager at The Bridge - Digital Capture Services, where they managed departments and implemented workflow improvements.

Tom Stratton attended The University of British Columbia from 1982 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Physics & Applied Mathematics. In 2011, they acquired a Professional Development Certificate in Python Programming from the O'Reilly School of Technology / University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Tom obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance in August 2016.
