Head of Platforms at Y TREE

Daniel Hill has a diverse work experience, starting with a position as a Sales Assistant at PC World in 2008. Daniel then worked as a Computer/Network Technician at Ad Computing, where they handled customer queries, completed computer repairs, and utilized SQL and databases to improve efficiency. In 2009, they joined Currys as a Computer/Network Technician and Salesperson.

In 2012, Hill began working at PPS. Daniel started as an Application Support Analyst, ensuring the availability of technical services and meeting SLAs. Daniel then advanced to the role of System Analyst, improving processes and supporting the platform. Later, they became a DevOps Engineer, introducing new technologies and fostering a shift-left mentality between Development and Operations. Finally, they served as a DevOps/Platform Engineering Team Leader, leading a team and driving automation and platform enhancements.

Hill's most recent work experience is at Y TREE, where they are currently the Head of Platforms. Daniel also previously held the position of Head of DevOps.

Daniel Hill earned a BSc (Hons) Degree in network computing from the University of Gloucestershire. Daniel studied network computing and information technology during their time at the university from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Daniel obtained the ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in April 2015. Daniel also holds an ITIL Foundation certification from BCS, although the specific details regarding its completion date are unavailable.
