Bob Talbot

Raised in a sailing family in the North East, with the Great Lakes as his backyard, Bob became an avid sailor at a very young age. Taught to sail by his father on Lake Ontario, he was teaching people of all ages to sail such boats as Sunfish, Lasers and Hobie Cats at only 12 years old.

Bob has been actively sailing for over 40 years and has been a full time live aboard in Saint Petersburg, Florida with his fiancée Laura on their cruising sailboat Orion. They have spent many seasons cruising the east coast, Florida Keys, Virgin Islands and The Bahamas. Their next planned getaway is to sail off into the sunset on a multi-year adventure. With Starlink, iPhone, laptop and all the YACHTMANN.COM team, they are set to find your next yacht or jet.

Not only does Bob have extensive experience and knowledge on everything nautical, he also has a true passion for aviation. At 18 years old he joined the Navy as an avionics electrical technician as well as an aircrew qualified operator aboard a Lockheed P-3 Orion and was eventually based overseas in the Mediterranean. After the Navy, Bob became a commercial airline pilot and has been flying with the airlines for over 16 years. In 2019 Bob became a Simulator Check Airman to share his love of aviation with others and to teach future aviators.
