YAKKUM Emergency Unit (YEU) is one of YAKKUM (Christian Foundation for Public Health) units which was established in 2001. YEU is a community-based humanitarian organization working in various regions across Indonesia. YEU has been assisting communities in facing disasters and climate change with an approach that is inclusive, value-based, and sustainable.
YEU is present not only to respond to emergencies but also to build long-term systems and capacities that enable communities to recover and lead their own recovery. YEU combines local knowledge with context-appropriate innovation and encourages leadership from within the community.
