Roman Gorb

Roman Gorb is an accomplished machine learning professional with extensive experience in various high-profile roles. Currently serving as Team Lead and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Yandex since April 2023, Roman focuses on YandexGPT inference speedup. Previously, at Lawrify from April 2022 to March 2023, Roman led the development of a risk detection pipeline for legal contracts. Additionally, during a tenure from March 2021 to March 2022 at Yandex, Roman integrated a popular finetuning strategy for YandexGPT and designed a question-answering pipeline. Earlier work at Huawei involved transferring a speech recognition model from PyTorch to TensorFlow, achieving notable quantization results. Roman's career began with an internship at Yandex, where significant contributions to production monitoring systems were made. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and ongoing education at the Yandex School of Data Analysis.
