James Cooper has extensive experience in baseball, currently serving as the Outfield and Baserunning coach for the New York Yankees since November 2021. Prior to this role, James was an Assistant Coach for Team USA Baseball 16U from May 2018 to November 2021. From June 2009 to November 2021, James held the position of Head Baseball Coach at Grambling State University, where responsibilities included organizing practices, recruiting, and managing team logistics. Earlier in James's career, from April 2004 to September 2006, James played professionally for the Houston Astros organization and Sussex Skyhawks organization, gaining valuable insights from professional coaches. James holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, both from Grambling State University.
