William Turner

Team Internist

William Turner, MD, FACP, currently serves in several prominent roles at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, including University Senator, Interim Associate Dean of Student Diversity Inclusion and Belonging, Assistant Dean of Students, and Faculty Advisor for the Black and Latino Student Association. Additionally, William is the Medical Director of Global Services/Columbia at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Vice Chief for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Division of General Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. William has extensive experience as a Team Internist for the New York Yankees and previously for NYCFC in Major League Soccer. An accomplished educator, William holds the title of Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and has previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at both Columbia University Medical Center and UCLA Health System. William obtained an MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a BA, Magna Cum Laude, in Black Studies and Biology from Amherst College.
