Ryoko Takei

Ryoko Takei serves as the Managing Director at Tokyo International Vocal Arts Academy since July 2014 and is an Opera Singer with the Nikikai Opera Foundation since April 1994. As a member of the Board of Directors and Director-General at Sogakukai Association since January 2017, Ryoko Takei has been instrumental in producing opera and related performances in Japan. Additional roles include Outside Director at Roland Corporation since March 2025 and Independent Director Member of the Board at Yanmar since June 2023. Ryoko Takei is also a Board Member and Representative of Foster Japanese Songs at the Japan Traditional Culture Interchange Association (NPO) since April 2012, and holds Full Membership as a Soprano with the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation since June 2012. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Art Management from Showa Academia Musicae, an MBA from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Tokyo.
