Danula Basnayaka has a diverse range of experience in landscape architecture. In 2016, they started as a Trainee Landscape Architect at the Royal Botanic Garden in Peradeniya, where they gained exposure to a wide variety of plant species and scientific management practices. In 2017, they joined Canwill Holdings as an Assistant Landscape Architect on the Grand Hyatt Project in Colombo, eventually being promoted to Landscape Architect in 2018.
