Jack Walsh

Jack Walsh began their work experience in 2012 as a leader at Detroit Catholic Central High School, serving as class president in 2013 and 2015. During their time as president, they successfully organized the annual fundraiser for tuition assistance, raising over $450,000 in just one week.

In 2018, Jack worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP), where they analyzed large datasets to understand the benefits of early-stage firms receiving both government and venture capital funding. Jack created functions in R to format the data and presented their findings to Ph.D.

Since 2019, Jack has been a part of Yardzen, initially joining as a Data Analyst and later being promoted to Lead Data Analyst. Yardzen is a company that focuses on rethinking the outdoor renovation process by utilizing technology and plant science. Jack's responsibilities include designing outdoor spaces based on the customer's preferences, as well as connecting them with trusted contractors. Jack currently holds this position.

Jack Walsh completed their Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science and Practice from Stanford University in 2020. Before that, they attended Stanford University from 2015 to 2019, where they studied Management Science and Engineering but did not obtain a specific degree. Prior to their college education, Jack attended Detroit Catholic Central from 2011 to 2015 for their high school education.
