David Broughton is an accomplished National Sales Manager at Yates since July 2022, with a diverse background in management and operations spanning several sectors. Previously, David served as National Operations Manager for The Salvation Army focusing on Youth Services from June 2021 to December 2022, and as Regional General Manager at Police Citizens Youth Clubs NSW from September 2017 to January 2019. Other notable roles include Business Operations Manager at Woolworths Group, Area Manager at Masters Home Improvement, and Account Manager at DuluxGroup Limited. David's career began at Bunnings as a Manager, followed by Consumer Banking at Westpac. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Newcastle and a Diploma in Business Administration from RMIT University.

A little bit of history from Yates Yates was founded by Arthur Yates, an Englishman who migrated to New Zealand in 1879. The seed business that Arthur opened in Auckland in 1883 was the beginning of what was to become one of the most recognised names in Australian and New Zealand gardening. In 1886 Arthur visited Sydney, where he saw an opportunity to establish a similar enterprise in Sussex St, Sydney. The Yates Garden Guide, is a great gardening book that is still published more than 110+ years later with over 7 million copies in circulation.
