Erik Berkel

Erik Berkel is a highly experienced professional in network engineering and security solutions, currently serving as a Designer Security Solutions and Senior Network Engineer at YaWorks since August 2015. Previous roles include Senior Network Engineer and Consultant for FrieslandCampina, where responsibility included life cycle management and project engineering, and a similar position for the City of Amsterdam, focusing on insourcing networks. Erik Berkel has also held positions as a Tier-3 Engineer at Prorail and as a Lead Consulting Engineer with Verizon, where management of the ING bank network was a key achievement. Erik's career began at ING from February 1998 to December 2007 as a Senior Network Engineer, overseeing network management and project participation. Erik holds an Engineer's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Polytechnic Haarlem and additional education from MTS-MEAO West-Friesland.
