Eric Varton

Eric Varton is the Chief Engineer Advanced Development Core Engineering at Yazaki North America at Yazaki. Eric has over 13 years of experience in the automotive engineering industry.

Eric started their career at Tec-Works, Inc in January 2005 as the Director of Business Development. Eric provided strategic leadership in concert with company stakeholders to establish long-range business goals, strategies, and policies resulting in substantial business growth and increase in corporate revenues through additional product offerings and value-added engineering services.

In their three years at Tec-Works, Inc, they led the development and implementation of the strategic business plans, oversaw strategic analysis, worked closely with company leadership in ideal customer definition and the development of new business opportunities. Eric also designed and implemented business plans defining company’s engineering service product offerings resulting in 25% increase in gross sales from service offerings. Eric developed and executed the operational growth plans for the company, with particular emphasis on achieving efficiency and profit improvement objectives of 25% and 20% respectively. Eric also worked with other company executives to analyze and understand market trends and determine which business opportunities held the best potential for future business growth. Furthermore, they performed competitive intelligence gathering to identify broader business initiatives including new service offerings providing residual income streams. Lastly, they defined the company's targeted marketing efforts needed in the successful development of new engineering service offerings.

In August 2008, they left Tec-Works, Inc to join Yazaki North America as the Chief Engineer Advanced Development Core
