Deanna Vasilakis

Deanna Vasilakis currently serves as the Senior Director of Talent, Performance, and Development at Year Up United since December 2024. Previously, Deanna held various leadership roles at UP Education Network, including Senior Talent Advisor and Chief Talent Officer, where significant achievements included revising evaluation tools, enhancing performance management systems, and increasing staff retention. Deanna also contributed to the KIPP Foundation as a KIPP Leadership Design Fellow, and fostered recruitment efforts at Uncommon Schools, overseeing a team responsible for hiring over 700 teachers and staff. Deanna began a career in education as a First Grade Teacher with Teach For America and has a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University.
