Kate Gerwig

Kate Gerwig currently serves as the Senior Director of Projects & Planning at Year Up, where responsibilities include overseeing the Launch Practice Area, managing project management consultancy for multi-site market launches, and leading significant projects such as the Facebook Employer-Based Model Launch in Silicon Valley. Throughout a progressive career at Year Up, Kate has also held roles including Program Manager and Operations Coordinator, managing teams, training staff, and improving operations and mentorship programs. Prior experience includes positions at the Town of Blacksburg, where Kate developed community outreach and graffiti abatement programs, and the National Park Service, focusing on facility security and patron services. Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public and Urban Affairs with a concentration in Global Development from Virginia Tech.
