Valerie Smith

Valerie Smith is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in leadership, marketing, and behavioral health. As the Founder of Come Have a Seat since January 2024, Valerie focuses on creating documentaries that preserve personal and community narratives. In her role as Alumni Board Chair at Year Up since May 2023, Valerie contributes to initiatives aimed at empowering young adults. Valerie's career at Microsoft spans multiple roles, including Marketing Program Manager and Project Manager, where strategic efforts led to significant advancements in marketing and project management. Prior experience includes positions as Behavioral Health Technician at Maxim Healthcare Group and Center for Autism and Related Disorders, as well as leadership roles in sales at HomeSight and Michael Kors, where data-driven strategies achieved notable revenue and customer satisfaction improvements. Valerie pursued education at Seattle Central College and Highline College.
