Tim Laszlo

Tim Laszlo has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. Tim began their career in 2004 as a Linux System Administrator for Protocol Services Inc, where they analyzed and implemented security policies for RedHat Linux servers to meet strict requirements for PCI compliance, financial institutions, and credit reporting agencies. In 2006, they moved to Classified Ventures as a Linux System Administrator, where they tuned Tomcat and Apache environments for performance and stability. Later that year, Tim joined Fermilab as a Senior Linux Administrator, providing rotating 24x7 support for 150+ production Linux servers and 8x5 support for 4000+ Linux compute nodes. In 2007, they joined Harpo Productions as a Senior Linux Sysadmin, where they were the team lead SRE for the oprah.com website. In 2013, Tim began working at Magnetar Capital as a Senior System Engineer, where they lead Linux engineer with a focus on process automation, monitoring, and visualization. In 2016, they joined Virtustream as a Principal Cloud Software Engineer, designing and implementing infrastructure as a service platforms based on OpenStack across multiple sites and regions. Tim also joined Yello.co as the Director Of Infrastructure, helping multinational, enterprise companies meet, engage, capture and nurture top candidates.

Tim Laszlo obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2001. In 2018, they obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA.
