David Kiger

David Kiger is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Vice President of Engineering for Local Acquisition and Retention at Yelp, with a focus on Yelp for Restaurants. Kiger's tenure at Yelp spans various positions, including Director of Engineering, where responsibilities included onboarding new businesses and managing marketing infrastructure. Additional roles involved overseeing engineering teams in Yelp Hamburg, as well as managing community feature teams and leading the development of critical products such as Yelp Reservations and Yelp Waitlist. Prior to Yelp, Kiger held positions at Six Forty Nine, Idea Tree, Tufts University, AAI Corporation, and DCI Management, showcasing a diverse background in software engineering and development. Kiger holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Tufts University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Philosophy and Computer Science from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
