Eric Liu

Eric Liu is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in machine learning and numerical algorithms. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Yelp since January 2016, Eric leads the Optimization team and has previously held roles including Software Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer, focusing on revenue optimization within the Customer and Sales Intelligence team. Prior to Yelp, Eric co-founded SigOpt and worked as a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, contributing to advanced numerical algorithms. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a dual Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
