Walid R.

Walid R. is an experienced software engineer currently working at Yelp since August 2018, focusing on backend engineering for the Search UX Team after previously contributing to the Growth Team. Prior to Yelp, Walid R. worked at Bloomberg LP from June 2015 to April 2018, developing financial applications for the Bloomberg Terminal as part of the Transactional Applications team and participating in an extensive new-hire training program. Walid R. gained early experience as a part-time systems engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where the focus was on model-based techniques for systems engineering, contributing to the modeling of a space mission to Europa. Earlier academic experiences include research assistance at UCLA in nuclear/particle physics and an internship at the UCLA Immunogenetics Center, where Walid R. was involved with biophysics research.
