Founded in 1948 in Besançon (Doubs) by Henry Louis Belmont, Yema stand out from the rest by virtue of their specific design and technological characteristics.

From 1960 to 1980 have been the golden years for Yema as it has distinguished itself by being one of the most important French brand in the watchmaking manufacturer industry and also becomes the leading exporter of French watches at the CETEHOR, a national organization which has become the reference center in watchmaking, microtechnology and jewelery.
