The mission of Yes She Can is to help all individuals with all abilities, including people with autism and other learning differences, to develop transferable job skills to enable them to join and be successful in the competitive workforce.

Yes She Can was founded to support the needs of women with autism who have struggled to find and maintain employment. Not only do women overall have a higher unemployment rate than men, but only 21% of autistic adults are employed. After ten years of successfully providing services to young individuals through our unique model, we have determined that all individuals can benefit from our program. 

We have broadened our services to be gender-neutral. We will continue to offer specific training programs for women because many trainees still request that option, but some programs will be gender-neutral.

Many individuals with different abilities can secure jobs but often have difficulty maintaining them, primarily due to the lack of job training and support that meets their specific needs. Work is especially important for autistic individuals: It provides greater independence, a sense of purpose, and belonging.

There is an urgent need to provide workplace and social communication skills to neurodivergent people in a safe, accommodating environment that prioritizes participants’ needs. This training must take place in a realistic setting that mirrors real-world businesses, ensuring the skills acquired are transferable across a wide range of workplaces.

Our Girl AGain boutique is a model for training, human resource management, and integration, demonstrating what successful employment of neurodivergent individuals looks like.
