Philip Morrison

Philip Morrison has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Philip is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at YeshID since May 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Engineering Manager at Jane.app from March 2022 to May 2023.

Philip has also worked at Cisco for a significant duration, starting as a Software Engineer in August 2012 and leaving in March 2022. During their tenure, they progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager. Philip was responsible for driving the development of features and managing risk across policy and reporting in the Umbrella product. Philip also hired and mentored managers and led several teams through SOC2 and FedRAMP compliance work.

Before joining Cisco, Philip worked at Nokia as a Software Design Engineer from March 2010 to August 2012. Philip was the lead engineer on various projects, including a database-backed user information storage system and a back-end application for a new app wizard. Philip also contributed to building the next generation of the Ovi Share service.

Prior to Nokia, Philip worked at RG Properties as a Software Design Engineer from March 2007 to March 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the entire software development life-cycle and managed two junior software engineers. Philip developed and oversaw the operation of high-trafficked sports-related web applications.

Philip's early career includes a role at Replicon as a Tier 2 Support member, where they replicated and troubleshooted issues and wrote custom importing, exporting, and reporting software.

From 2003 to 2005, Philip Morrison attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), where they pursued a degree in Computer Technology with a specialization in Information Systems.
