Scott Sitar

Scott Sitar has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Scott is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at YeshID since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Microsoft as a Senior Security Researcher from January 2022 to September 2022. Before that, Scott held various roles at Cisco, including Engineering Manager from February 2019 to January 2022, and Technical Leader and Senior Engineer from October 2016 to February 2019. Scott also worked as a Big Data Engineer at OpenDNS from August 2013 to October 2016. Earlier in their career, Scott worked at Sophos as a Senior Threat Researcher from June 2010 to July 2013. Scott started their career as a Software Developer at SAP Business Objects from January 2004 to July 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Math Developer (Co-op) at Maplesoft from May 2000 to December 2001 and as a Software Developer (Co-op) at Sybase from January 1999 to December 1999.

Scott Sitar began their education at the University of Waterloo in 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Pure Mathematics in 2003. Scott then continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Masters of Mathematics degree in Applied Mathematics from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Scott pursued a PhD in Mathematics specializing in Number Theory at the University of British Columbia from 2007 to 2009.
