Xavier Marot has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Xavier started their career in 1998 as an intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Xavier then worked as a software engineer at Unilog for a few months before joining the French Embassy in Spain as a cooperant. In 2001, they joined Capgemini as a software engineer, where they developed and maintained internal applications for various telecom operators. Xavier later became a technical architect and project manager.
From 2012 to 2019, Marot worked at Rennes Ville et Métropole, first as the head of the development and open source team and then as the IT operations manager for the cultural facility Les Champs Libres in Rennes. In these roles, they managed IT projects and implemented software solutions.
In 2020, Marot worked at CYIM as an infrastructure and network project manager, where they oversaw infrastructure and network projects. Xavier also worked at Net4up as a time-share IT manager, where they provided consulting services, developed IT strategies, and managed outsourcing contracts.
Currently, Marot is working as an infrastructure engineer at YesWeHack, starting in 2023.
Xavier Marot obtained an Engineering degree in Agronomy from L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. In addition, they received a certification in Python: from fundamentals to advanced concepts of the language from France Université Numérique, in collaboration with Université Côte d'Azur and Inria. Xavier obtained this certification in April 2023.
