Lead Front-End Engineer at Yield Protocol

Bruce Donovan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Bruce started their career as a Research Internship at the South African Environmental Observation Network in 2010. Bruce later worked as a Junior Systems Engineer and Research/General Contract at the same organization. In 2013, they became self-employed as a Web Developer under the name "FreshDev".

From 2015 to 2016, Bruce worked as a Product Manager at 4Di Technologies and as a Sales Director and Business Development at ESET East Africa. In 2018, they joined brucedonovan.com as a Web Application Developer.

In 2019, Bruce took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at 5Swim, where they served until 2020. Currently, they are working as a Lead Front-End Engineer at Yield Protocol, starting from April 2020.

Bruce Donovan's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Rhodes University. Bruce pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Ichthyology & Fisheries Management, completing it in 2005. The following year, they continued their studies at Rhodes University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Ichthyology and Fisheries Science in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, Bruce pursued a Master of Science degree in Fisheries Science and Management at Rhodes University.

In addition to their academic achievements, Bruce Donovan obtained a Class IV Commercial Diving Permit from the Department of Labour in February 2012.
