Joël Bernards has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Joël began their career in 2004 as a Sales Advisor at T-Mobile Netherlands BV, where they later moved up to the role of Senior Sales Advisor. Joël then transitioned to a staff role as a Coordinator Telesales, responsible for initiating and coordinating commercial activities in the telesales consumer channel. After that, Joël worked as a Telesales Channel Coordinator, where they played a similar role but also took on the responsibility of initiating and coordinating sales campaigns. Joël went on to become a Vendor Manager Handsets and later a Portfolio Manager Handsets, overseeing the management of handsets within the company's portfolio. In 2013, Joël joined Telecombinatie as a Category Manager Consumer, responsible for managing the subscriptions and hardware categories within the consumer channel. Joël was later promoted to the role of Manager Telecom, where they had overall responsibility for the consumer channel. Most recently, Joël is serving as the Manager Commercial Contract Management at Yielder Group.

Joël Bernards obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics & Law from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences between 2001 and 2006.
