Tim Mather

Tim Mather is a seasoned professional in cybersecurity and strategic advisory, currently serving as a Partner and vCISO at Fortium Partners, LP, where expertise is focused on protecting intellectual property for the high tech sector. Mather also advises and invests in the stealth-mode start-up Bonfy.AI and provides guidance on investments in Israeli cybersecurity start-ups through YL Ventures. Previous roles include Chief Security Strategist at PatternEx, Chief Information Security Officer at Cadence Design Systems, and Chief Security Officer at Apigee, among others. Mather has contributed to education as an adjunct professor at Merritt College and a visiting lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley. Mather holds multiple advanced degrees, including an M.S. in Information Assurance from Brandeis University and M.As. in National Security Studies and International Policy Studies.
