Carlo du Toit

Carlo Du Toit has a strong work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Carlo currently serves as an Associate Engineering Director at Yoco. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Yoco from November 2022 to August 2023.

Before joining Yoco, Carlo had a long tenure at ACI Worldwide. Carlo held various management positions, including Senior Manager Software Engineering, where they were responsible for overseeing architecture, security, DevOps, and incubation teams. Additionally, they managed the platform product suite, covering transaction switching, issuing, and back office, leading a team of 70 individuals. Carlo also served as a Manager Software Engineering, overseeing the development of back-office and card issuing solutions.

Earlier in their career, Carlo worked at S1 Corporation as a Development Team Leader, where they established a Level-3 support team and managed the operations team for building and maintaining support tools. Carlo also served as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for the software development life cycle and solution architecture.

Carlo Du Toit completed a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree at Stellenbosch University from 2002 to 2005, with a focus on Computer Systems, Applied Mathematics, and Electronics. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Machine Learning, which they successfully completed with distinction at Stellenbosch University in 2016.
