Jonathan Jacobs

Jonathan Jacobs is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience across various roles in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer and previously as a Senior Staff Fullstack Engineer and Senior Technical Lead at Yoco since September 2018, Jonathan has contributed to backend software development and led the App Experience team for a mobile point-of-sale application. Co-owning Codeherent (PTY) Ltd since July 2016, Jonathan focuses on consulting and improving existing projects for clients. Past roles include Lead Software Engineer at Vitruvian Medical Diagnostics, where Jonathan developed REST-API backends and web frontends for medical diagnostic devices, and Senior Software Developer at Crownmill Trading, continuing a role from Quotemaster CC, where Jonathan co-created a Python backend system for finance application management. Jonathan holds a BScIT degree in Computer Science from the University of Johannesburg.
