Clark Brooks

Clark Brooks has a long history of experience in the engineering and scientific fields. Clark began their career in 1981 as a Drum Machine Engineer at Linn Electronics, where they were responsible for board-level design and debugging of high-performance digital drum machines. In 1987, they joined Caltech as a MOTS, where they implemented a high-performance late binding interpreted parallel programming language. From 1992 to 2014, they were a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation, where they coordinated power management tools in the synthesis and place and route tools. In 2015, they co-founded YorUltrasound, where they held the roles of Principal Scientist and Vice President and Principal Scientist. In this role, they set new standards for efficiency by combining harmonic analysis, the physical nature of wave propagation, and intimate knowledge of modern compute architectures.

Clark Brooks attended Caltech from 1976 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Math. Clark then returned to Caltech from 1990 to 1992 to obtain a Master's degree in Computer Science.
