Greg Bashford has worked in a variety of roles in the medical field since 1997. Greg began their career as an Image Analysis Engineer at Acuson Corporation in 1996. In 1997, they moved to General Electric Medical Systems as a Systems Engineer. After two years, they joined LI-COR Biosciences as a Senior Scientist in 1999. In 2003, Greg Bashford began working at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as an Assistant Professor and Biomedical Engineer. Greg then served as a Professor and Biomedical Engineer, Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program, and Associate Professor. In 2005, they founded Greg Bashford Consulting and has been a Research and Development Engineer since. Most recently, they have been an Imaging Scientist at YorLabs since 2021, where they work on imaging physics, methods, and research for a miniature ultrasound system, as well as consulting support towards development of B-mode, Color, and PW Doppler ultrasound, and advanced algorithm specification and testing.
Greg Bashford received their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In April 2001, they obtained a Licensed Professional Engineer certification from the State of Nebraska.
