Daniel Hunter

Chief EV Officer at Yoshi

Daniel Hunter began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they led the team responsible for developing a novel in vivo delivery process for liposomal WNT3A (L-WNT3A) into the dental pulp. Daniel also resolved the mechanism of action for Wnt signaling and effects of L-WNT3A in promoting dentin formation, and analyzed the physical, biochemical, and cellular characteristics of the therapeutic candidate, L-WNT3A in bone, retinal and dental healing. In addition, they were also a CIRM Research Scholar, where they analyzed the application of Wnt3a as a retinal therapeutic, developed novel functional assays to show cellular responses to elevated Wnt in the retina, and analyzed the physical, biochemical, and cellular characteristics of the therapeutic candidate, L-WNT3A in retinal. In 2015, they became a Co-Founder of Yoshi.

Daniel Hunter attended Y Combinator in 2016 and obtained a S16 certification. Daniel then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Humboldt State University from 2008 to 2010, with a focus on Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations. Previously, they had obtained two Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees from Humboldt State University, one in Chemistry from 2002 to 2008, and one in Biology, General from 2002 to 2008.
